Hello and goodbye!

Hello!

Blogger told me today I got no more space to add pictures to this address. So I said ok, time to move on then. It actually felt like a good day to move, so I carried out my thoughts and stuff to the new place as soon as I came up with an address.

So please come and visit me at my Treehouse! Looking forward to meeting you there.

Pony and the peppertree was a pleasure, a hobby, a past-time and an archieve of a kind, too. I shall see how I like my new treehouse for a change now.

Goodbye!

Much love,
Martta

Piilossa

Hazy

Things seemed particularly hazy today. A familiar friend called Pain decided to come and visit my body and kept my eyes small until 4pm (I often feel I can't see when my body aches). The best remedy to almost everything is fresh air and outdoors, I believe, and this time I took it in the form of a slow walk.

Exotic Finland

Funny. Finland seems more exotic than I have thought. I'm in the forest, and I'm not alone. Look, a woodpecker! Look, swans! Look, a pheasant cock! I'm mean, yeah. Not a big deal, ok, but I still get excited. Look, a bunch of big birds on the field! (...) No, I'm not very good with birds and my only guide book is for the birds of southern Africa.. That came in handy in Cape Town with my frequent visitors cape white eyes, but won't get me too far with big birds on the field in the Finnish countryside.

My nephew picked a book to read. It was a pocket guide to the mushrooms of Finland and my job was to read out loud. I might have even learned something on the go.

I should have a better understanding of my surroundings. Let's work on that.

What's up

So Finland it is.

The spring is couple of months behind in here, so I can re-live the springly foolishness all over again.

P.S. I seem to write a lot about weather. That's very finnish indeed.

Kasa kaltevia kuvia

Olin valmis hyppäämään junasta joka pysäkillä, jäämään juuri siihen. Sveitsi on lähellä sydäntäni, tajusin. Oli niin vehreää. Niin turkoosia. Niin ihanaa!

I realized Switzerland is very dear to me: I was ready to jump out of the train at every station and just stick around. It was so lush. So turqoise. So wonderful!

Miss you Suisse!
Bye now.

Right before it was time to go

Spring growing on my plate, again. Funny telemark-days, on piste. Patrouille de Glacier and the beginning of the finish line, seen from my balcony. Sunbathing, in my bed! Chilled out walks and a mud-slide in the forest. Loads of coffee in a bar where only local grannies go to play bingo.

The last days in the mountains passed by.

Then the usual: pack, scrub and go.
